Distribution Analysis: Frequency Counts

Distribution Analysis: Frequency Counts

You can use the Frequency Counts analysis to produce one-way frequency tables and compute chi-square statistics to test for equal proportions.

You can use the analysis to tabulate the number of observations in each category of a variable. For nominal variables, you can also create a bar chart of the variable.

You can run a Frequency Counts analysis by selecting Analysis \blacktriangleright\,Distribution Analysis \blacktriangleright\,Frequency Counts from the main menu. When you request one-way frequency table and associated statistics, SAS/IML Studio calls the FREQ procedure in Base SAS.
