Content administrators
might occasionally need to delete a page template for one of the following
reasons:
-
During the implementation period
for a new portal, you might create a template and then decide that
the template is not needed or that it needs to be modified.
-
After the portal is fully implemented,
you might decide that a page template is obsolete or that it needs
to be modified.
Note: Once you have
created a page template, you cannot modify it. However, you can delete
it and then create it again. The new template that you create does
not affect any pages that were created based on the previous template.
You can
delete a page template only if you are a group content administrator
for the group with which the template was shared. When you delete
a page template, you can specify whether you also want to delete all
of the pages that were created from the template. The deletion includes
pages in the portals of other users in the group with which the template
was shared.
