When you
remove a page, it no longer appears in your navigation bar. However,
it remains in your portal repository so that you can add it later.
When you
delete a page, the page is permanently deleted from the portal repository,
and therefore it is not available for you to add later.
To remove
a page from your navigation bar or to permanently delete a page from
the portal repository, follow these steps:
-
Navigate
to the page that you want to remove.
-
Click
OptionsRemove Page.
-
On the
Remove page, select one of the following:
Remove this page from my personal portal
If you select this
response, the page no longer appears in your navigation bar. However,
it remains available in the portal repository so that you can add
it later.
This choice appears
only if you are authorized to remove the page. You can remove from
your personal portal pages that were shared as default or available.
However, if a page was shared as persistent, then it can be removed
only by a user who is designated as a content administrator for the
group.
Remove and permanently delete this page
If you select this
response, the page no longer appears in your navigation bar. It is
also deleted from the portal repository and therefore
is not available for you to add later.
Note: If a page has
been shared with a group, it can be deleted permanently only by a
user who is designated as a content administrator for the group.
If you
select
Remove and permanently delete this page, and if the page contains one or more portlets that you are authorized
to delete, then the following check box appears:
Delete the following portlets that are contained on the page
All of
the portlets that you are authorized to delete are listed in the box
below the message. The list includes portlets that you created. If
you are a group content administrator, then the list also includes
portlets that have been shared with your group.
-
If you
want to permanently delete all of the portlets that appear on the
list, then click the check box. If you want these portlets to remain
in the portal repository, then leave the check box blank.
If
you want to delete only some of the portlets, then leave the check
box blank and use the search tool to find and delete the portlets.
