specifies the environment variable to define.

specifies the environment variable value. Note that quotation
marks are required around the entire environment-variable value string.
You can use the SET= system option to define an environment
variable that is valid within the SAS session. For example, you can use the
SET= option to make environment variables available to turn on support for
various utility functions. SAS/CONNECT software
uses environment variables to turn on debug tracing capabilities, among other
things.
