causes SAS/GRAPH
to use the device-resident font when you do not specify a font in
a SAS program. A blank Characters field in
the Parameters window is the same as CHARACTERS=Y.
NOCHARACTERS
CHARACTERS=N
causes SAS/GRAPH
to draw the characters using the SIMULATE font and suppresses the
use of all device—resident
fonts, regardless of values that you specify in other SAS statements.
Details
The device—resident
font is not used if you changed the HPOS= and VPOS= graphics options
from the default, or if you used the HEIGHT= option in a SAS statement and the device does not have scalable characters.
