The largest file that can be created by SAS is dependent on the file
formatting system of the hard drive as shown in the table below:

FAT32 4.178 gigabytes
NTFS 2 terabytes
The FAT16 file system is used on DOS and Windows 95 systems. FAT32
is used in Windows 98 systems and other Windows operating systems that
were upgraded from Windows 98. NTFS is the default in later Windows
operating systems.
