SAS University Edition: Help Center

How can I recover my data if my virtual machine becomes corrupted?

When you are installing and configuring SAS University Edition, you should set up a shared folder to access and store data on your local machine. If you do not store your data in a shared folder and your virtual machine becomes corrupted, your data might not be available to you when you reimport the SAS University Edition vApp and access SAS Studio.

You can use the 7-Zip file archiver to try to recover your data from the file structure of the SAS University Edition virtual machine. For more information, see SAS Problem Note 58267.
