Requirements

Server Requirements

Both NT Server and NT Workstation machines are supported as DCOM servers. Install the following software on the server machine:

• SAS Software Version 8 (or later)
• SAS Integration Technologies
• Any other SAS products that your application will use

Client Requirements

Windows 95 (or a subsequent version of Windows) is required on the client machine.

Windows 95 and Windows 98 are supported as DCOM clients only; they cannot be DCOM servers. You can, however, run SAS locally on Windows 95 and 98 machines.

If you want to use Windows 95 as a client, you must verify that Microsoft's DCOM95 version 1.2 upgrade has been installed on the machine. DCOM95 version 1.2 is available from Microsoft.
