Restoring SAS® OnDemand for Academics: Enterprise MinerTM Projects
To prepare to restore existing SAS® OnDemand for Academics: Enterprise MinerTM projects, perform the following steps:
Step One: Identify Existing Project Names
- Sign on to the SAS OnDemand for Academics Welcome Page and start Enterprise Miner.
- Select Open Project.
- Document the exact name(s) of only the project(s) that you would like to continue using (or take a screen capture). Project names are case-sensitive, so be sure to note the case.
You will use this information to restore your projects.
Step Two: Restore your Project(s)
- After the server change has occurred, start SAS Enterprise Miner.
- Create a new project. When prompted to enter a project name, provide the exact name (including case) of an existing project that you want to restore (refer to the names that you recorded in Step One).
Click Yes to the Project Exists dialog box to continue:
- Repeat Step 2 as necessary for additional projects that you want to restore.
- If you have any issues, please send e-mail to SAS Technical Support. In your e-mail, mention that you are using SAS® OnDemand for Academics: Enterprise MinerTM.
Optional
If you were unable to follow the steps above prior to the server change, then you can still identify your existing projects and restore them.
- Sign in to the SAS OnDemand for Academics Welcome Page using your userid and SAS profile password.
- Under Applications, launch SAS® Studio. All SAS OnDemand for Academics users have access to this software.
- From the navigation pane on the left, expand the My Folders folder.
Each of your existing SAS Enterprise Miner projects will have its own folder (there might be other folders that are not associated with SAS Enterprise Miner projects as well).
- Identify and record the names of the folders that match your SAS Enterprise Miner projects (note that names are case-sensitive).
- From the SAS OnDemand for Academics Welcome Page Dashboard Launch SAS Enterprise Miner.
- Create a new project. When prompted to enter a project name, provide the exact name (including case) of one of your existing projects.
Click Yes to the Project Exists dialog box to continue:
- Repeat Step 6 as necessary for additional projects that you want to restore.
