Problem Note 70920: SAS® Episode Analytics 4.5.1 - Duplicate librefs might be generated for newly registered data sources
The SAS Episode Analytics 4.5.1 application uses a specific internal algorithm for generating librefs for newly created and registered data sources.
If the total number of data source assigned librefs exceeds 999, then the algorithm is forced to generate duplicate libref suffix values in order to fit the complete libref value in the defined 8-byte field.
A viable workaround for this issue is to review library objects (data sources) that are currently stored within the metadata and delete those that are no longer in use. Once those objects are deleted and their associated librefs made available, new data sources can be registered and assigned a valid, non-duplicate libref by the application algorithm.
To resolve the issue of existing data library objects (data sources) assigned to duplicate librefs, the recommended workaround is to delete the duplicate library objects from the metadata and then re-register the data sources.
The issue is resolved beginning with SAS® Episode Analytics 4.5.2.
