Problem Note 68905: The Transpose task might be removed from the SAS® Enterprise Guide® Process Flow when you use the Project Maintenance tool
When you use the Project Maintenance tool in SAS Enterprise Guide projects that contain the Transpose task, this task might be removed from your process flow and the following error might occur:
An unknown error occurred while trying to create the project item with label 'Transpose'. This item has been removed from the project.
For example, you might encounter this problem when your project has conditions similar to the following:
- You have a SAS Enterprise Guide project that contains a SASHELP.CARS table and a Transpose task.
- You are connected to the SASApp Server.
The Transpose task works correctly and generates an output table.

However, you encounter the issue when you complete the following steps:
- You use the Project Maintenance tool to change the server. In the Project Maintenance tool, you select the old SASApp server and replace it with the new one, as shown in the following image:

- When you click the Save Changes and Reload Project button to complete this operation, an error occurs.

- If you close the Project Maintenance tool, the Transpose task is removed from the process flow.

To circumvent this problem, you can use the Migration Wizard tool instead of the Project Maintenance tool.
