Problem Note 68319: SAS® Life Science Analytics Framework 5.3.x - Switching between multiple open programs might not bring focus to the correct program for submission
When you switch between multiple open programs in SAS Life Science Analytics Framework 5.3.x, the application might not focus on the intended open program for actions, such as a Submit request that is executed by pressing F3.
By design, a program is deemed active when you click within it, that is, either on the tab containing the file name at the top, the code window, the log window, or the Results tab.
For instances where programs are displayed side by side, there is no visual indicator as to which program is active. The presence of the cursor typically denotes the active program. However, if you are unsure, simply click within the program to ensure that the correct program window is active. The most recent tab or program clicked on is the program that is submitted for execution by pressing F3.
Therefore, take one of these actions to ensure that the correct open program is submitted when multiple programs are open in the application:
- Submit the desired open program by using the Run button (instead of pressing F3).
- Either type in the code window of the open program or click on the tab of the program that you want to submit. Then press F3 to submit the program.
The issue is fixed in SAS® Life Science Analytics Framework 5.4.
