Usage Note 68196: An unexpected font is displayed even though you specify a TrueType font via a custom style with PROC SGRENDER in UNIX
When you use the SGRENDER procedure in a UNIX environment, an issue can occur regarding font selection. Even though you specify a TrueType font (such as Times New Roman) for all of the graphics text via a custom ODS style, SAS® might still display a default font (such as Thorndale AMT) that is supplied by SAS. This issue occurs even when your specified TrueType font was properly registered via the FONTREG procedure.
Note: A similar issue might occur with other SAS/GRAPH® procedures (such as SGPLOT).
To circumvent this problem, specify the TrueType font in individual statements in the Graph Template Language code. Here is an example:
layout overlay / yaxisopts=(label="Survival Probability" labelattrs=(family="Times New Roman") tickvalueattrs=(family="Times New Roman")) xaxisopts=(label="Time on Treatment (hours)" labelattrs=(family="Times New Roman") tickvalueattrs=(family="Times New Roman"));
