Problem Note 67576: SAS Life Science Analytics Framework 5.2.x - Removal of a nested group results in an incorrect determination by application that membership is lost
Administrators and/or users with appropriately assigned permissions and privileges who are using SAS Life Science Analytics Framework 5.2.x to remove a project group nested within an analysis group can produce a scenario where the application incorrectly calculates and determines that group membership has been lost.
The loss of membership trigger then proceeds to rightfully clean up the access control list (ACL) as it is not possible to have a defined access control entry (ACE) for a group that is not a member of the context.
Note: The result of an ACE being removed due to a loss of membership is an action for which there is no audit record cut by the system; the behavior is expected and by design.
The issue of incorrectly determining that membership has been lost is addressed beginning with SAS® Life Science Analytics Framework 5.3.
As a final note, the task described above can be completed using SAS Life Science Analytics Framework 5.2.x, but an additional manual step to create or add the ACE back to the context is required.
