Problem Note 67009: The error "Type Mismatch..." occurs when you create a calculated item in SAS® Visual Analytics

When creating a calculated item that uses the IF/ELSE operator and the IN operator, you might see an error similar to the following:
Type mismatch: expected type at this location is Character, type of item being applied is Numeric
The error prevents you from being able to click OK to create the item.
To work around this issue, click the Text button, and then click the Visual button. After that, you can successfully create the calculated item.
