Problem Note 57075: Detail data might not be displayed when using the SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office to display a SAS® OLAP cube using the Microsoft Excel PivotTable
When using the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office to display a SAS OLAP cube using the Microsoft Excel PivotTable, you might experience a problem displaying detail data. Specifically, the problem can occur if a slicer filter is applied to the PivotTable, the Select Multiple Items option is enabled, and multiple items are selected.
The following display shows the slicer filter definition pane for the Geographic dimension/hierarchy.

With multiple slicer items selected, the Show Details PivotTable option causes Microsoft Excel to display the following message:
Show Details cannot be executed when multiple items are selected in a report filter or in a slicer.
Select a single item for each field in the report filter area
and for each slicer connected to this PivotTable before performing a drill through.
This message is expected behavior. For the same PivotTable design, the Drill Through Details option on the SAS OLAP Analyzer menu is grayed out.
Earlier versions of Microsoft Excel displayed an error like the following:
System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x800A03EC): Exception from HRESULT: 0x800A03EC
