The SAS ODS Graphics Designer might fail to open in SAS^® Enterprise Guide^® 7.1. When you try to invoke the SAS ODS Graphics Designer, a Server Configuration window might pop up without a port number specified in the PORT field. If you click OK, the following Server Connection Error is displayed:

The following error might be issued in the SAS^® log if you try to invoke the SAS ODS Graphics Designer by submitting the %SGDESIGN() statement in the Program window within SAS Enterprise Guide 7.1:

This problem is most likely to occur when you attempt to invoke the standalone version of SAS ODS Graphics Designer with SAS Enterprise Guide 7.1 running on a locally assigned server or with no profile selected.
