Problem Note 54662: A LIBNAME statement that uses the META engine to Netezza creates too many connections to the database

When the LIBNAME statement for Netezza points to a metadata LIBNAME engine and the database value for the CONNECTION option is UNIQUE (the default for Netezza), an additional connection is established by the metadata LIBNAME engine. This additional connection, incurred during the execution of the SQL procedure, is not released after PROC SQL quits. The unreleased connections might accumulate with subsequent execution of the same or other PROC SQL steps and quickly exceed the 2000 connection limit for Netezza.
