If you need to suppress the following warning message when you use macro processing, you can use the SAS system option NOQUOTELENMAX in an OPTIONS statement:

WARNING 32-169: The quoted string currently being processed has become
                more than 262 characters long.  You may have unbalanced 
                quotation marks. 

You must place this option outside of the macro and before the macro definition in order for it to take effect prior to the macro compilation phase. For example:

options noquotelenmax;

%macro mymacro;
   {code};
%mend;
