Problem Note 52057: SAS Remote Services tests fail when you run the SAS® Deployment Tester test suites
When you run the SAS® Deployment Tester test suites, the eight SAS Remote Services tests might fail with the following error:
Could not deploy/find services (see stacktrace in test output): null
java.security.PrivilegedActionException:null
at
java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(java.security.AccessController:-2)
...
Cause...
com.sas.services.deployment.ServiceDeploymentException: A SAS foundation service
failed to deploy. [ com.sas.services.ServiceException: No foundation service
definitions were found using the metadata source:
Server {
software component: "Platform Local Services"
This error occurs when all of the following conditions exist:
- You create a multi-tiered installation.
- The server tier is installed and configured.
- The middle tier is not installed and configured.
- You are running the SAS Deployment Tester test suites on the server tier.
To correct the problem, complete the installation and configuration of the middle tier and then test SAS Remote Services from the middle-tier system.
Note: SAS® 9.4 does not use SAS Remote Services. Although SAS Remote Services are still available in SAS 9.4 to support custom applications, the services are not started by default. If you want to test the SAS Remote Services test suites, you must start SAS Remote Services manually.
