In SAS Visual Analytics, bar charts are initially sorted by the descending value of the measure on the Y-axis. If the category on the X-axis is a date, then the bars are not initially sorted in chronological order, as shown in the following display.

To sort the date values in chronological order, right-click the category name and select Sort ► Ascending, as shown in the following display.

After the change, the bar chart looks like this:
