Usage Note 48429: An error might occur when you import an exploration that was created with SAS® Visual Analytics 5.2
When you import an exploration that was created with SAS Visual Analytics 5.2, the following type of error might appear in the import log.
INFO - ******** Importing Metadata ********
INFO - Metadata imported successfully.
INFO - ******** Importing Properties ********
INFO - Imported substitution properties for 0 objects.
INFO - ******** Adjusting Metadata ********
INFO - Updating VisualExploration objects.
INFO - Updating SAS report (2G) objects.
ERROR - An error occurred trying to connect the responsible parties for the
imported objects. Reason: Improper syntax was detected at location '28' in the
XMLSELECT option '*[@Name='Farrow, Ebonee T']*[@Name='Farrow, Ebonee T' and
@PublicType='User']' used to select metadata. The error is 'An unexpected
XMLSELECT character '*' was found in the xpath syntax.'..
This error does not prevent you from using the exploration. Therefore, the error can be safely ignored. The problem occurs because the Responsibilities metadata is not maintained for the exploration during the import. To manually add the missing metadata, open the properties of the imported exploration in SAS® Management Console. Then, add a user to the Responsibilities box, and assign the Role of Owner to the user.
