Usage Note 46922: Removing SAS® 9.3 on Microsoft Windows operating environments when you have other versions of SAS software installed on your computer

To remove SAS 9.3 from your operating system when you also have other versions of SAS installed on the same machine, follow these steps:

For software releases that are not yet generally available, the Fixed
Release is the software release in which the problem is planned to be
fixed.
- Select Start ► Settings ► Control Panel ► Add or Remove Programs.
For Windows 7, select Start ► Control Panel and then click Programs and Features. - Select SAS 9.3 and click Uninstall.
- In the Choose Language dialog box, select the language you want to view the SAS Deployment Manager and click OK. The default is English.
- In the Select SAS Products to Uninstall dialog box, click Select All to uninstall everything and then click Next.
- In the Checking System dialog box, you do not need to click Next. Once the installation runs through the loading installation package, it proceeds to the next Checking System dialog box automatically.
- The system verifies the amount of free disk space and verifies that the files and directories have the correct permissions. Click Next.
- In the Summary dialog box, click Start to begin the process of uninstalling.
- The Removing Software in Progress dialog box appears.
- When the Deployment Complete dialog box appears, click Finish.
- Reboot the PC.
- Delete only the SAS 9.3 !SASROOT directory. If you delete anything else, you might cause your other versions of SAS on the system to become corrupted. The default locations for the SAS 9.3 !SASROOT directory are as follows:
C:\Program Files\SASHome\SASFoundation\9.3
C:\Program Files\SASHome\x86\SASFoundation\9.3
C:\Program Files\SASHome\x86\SASFoundation\9.3
