Usage Note 32918: An error occurs when too many expressions appear in an IN list in the Oracle database

The following error message might be issued if the number of expressions in an IN list exceeds the Oracle database’s limit for the number of expressions allowed:
ERROR: ORACLE prepare error: ORA-01795: maximum number of expressions in a list is 1000.
In this case, the IN list that is constructed from the WHERE clause generated more than 1000 expressions in a list. The limit on expressions in a such list is set at 1000 and is enforced by the Oracle database.
To work-around this limit, use the MULTI_DATASRC_OPT=IN_CLAUSE option in the LIBNAME statement. This option divides larger IN clauses into multiple, smaller IN clauses. However, the results are combined into a single result set.
