Usage Note 24546: How do I obtain a license file for Platform Computing software?
Your SAS installation data file (SID file) must be updated when the license period for Platform Computing software has expired, or when there has been a change in the SAS software product bundle that is covered by the license.
Platform Computing software requires a license SID file that is separate from the SID file for SAS software.
To request a license file for Platform Computing software, complete the following steps:
- Find your SAS Installation Key and Order Number on the SAS Order Information page of the Getting Started Guide in your Installation Kit.
- Open the SAS Administrator Services Web page at http://support.sas.com/adminservices-SID.
- Enter the appropriate information in the text fields and click Continue.
- Select License Extension Required and enter the appropriate information.
A customized Software Order e-mail that contains your Platform Computing Scheduling Server-specific SID file should arrive within 10 minutes.
- Follow the instructions in the e-mail to save the Platform Computing Scheduling Server SID file for use in the installation of the Platform Computing Scheduling server.
Note: You do not incur additional fees if you use the Platform Computing Scheduling Server SID file. The Platform Computing Scheduling Server software SID file expires concurrently with the SAS installation data file for your SAS software.
For information about how to locate and update the license.dat
files on the server, see SAS Note 18638: "Renewing the license for Platform Job Scheduler 5.31 and Platform Suite for SAS releases."
