There are two license.dat files: one file is for the scheduling servers from Platform Computing Inc. and the other file is for Platform LSF. These files are located in the conf directory of the root directory of the product. For example, in a Windows operating environment the path to the conf directory for Platform Process Manager might be C:\Program Files\Platform Computing\Platform Process Manager\conf. In a UNIX operating environment, the path to the conf directory for Platform Process Manager is JS_ROOT/conf (JS_ROOT is the installation directory defined in the install.config file).
When Platform Process Manager and Platform LSF are installed under Windows, the locations for the two license files can be precisely determined by examining the js.conf and lsf.conf files and looking for where the JS_LICENSE_FILE= and LSF_LICENSE_FILE= (respectively) point to. In general, however, these usually are under the JS_ENVDIR/conf and LSF_ENVDIR/conf folders, using the actively set environment variables shown.
If Platform Suite for SAS® is installed under Windows, the files should be "%JS_ENVDIR%\license.dat" and "%LSF_ENVDIR%\license.dat" (PSS 4.1 and later) or "%LSF_ENVDIR%\..\conf\license.dat" (PSS 2.1 and 3.1).
If Platform Suite for SAS is installed under UNIX and you have sourced the profile files for the two components so that the environment variables already are defined, the files can be located as $JS_ENVDIR/license.dat and $LSF_ENVDIR/license.dat .
To update the license.dat file for Platform Computing software:
For Windows, restart these services:
For UNIX, restart these processes:
