Usage Note 22978: Selecting random samples

You can use the SURVEYSELECT procedure in SAS/STAT^® software to select probability-based random samples of your data. If you do not have SAS/STAT software, you can program random sampling using Base SAS^®. Below are several examples:

SAS Note 24722: Simple random sample without replacement
SAS Note 24802: Simple random sample with replacement
SAS Note 24760: Stratified random sample without replacement, equal allocation
SAS Note 24762: Stratified random sample with replacement, equal allocation
SAS Note 24763: Stratified random sample without replacement, unequal allocation
SAS Note 24764: Stratified random sample with replacement, unequal allocation
