Usage Note 20848: Updating your SAS® Scalable Performance Data Server® license file
When you receive SAS Scalable Performance Data Server software, the
licensing information is pre-initialized. When you contract to renew the
license, a paper SETINIT provides you with the licensing information.
Note: You should not change the licensing information unless you are
logged in with the user ID of the owner of the SAS Scalable Performance
Data Server software. The owner of these files is designated when you
license the software.
Create or modify a file named spds.lic. This is the file that the SAS
Scalable Performance Data Server name server points to with the license
file parameter.
This file is located in the $INSTDIR/lic directory, where INSTDIR is the
location of your SAS Scalable Performance Data Server installation
directory.
The following is an example of the spds.lic file:

After you modify the spds.lic file, you can start your SAS Scalable
Performance Data Server environment.
