Usage Note 20813: Installing SAS Foundation on a Windows 64-bit operating system
To install SAS 9.1.3 Foundation on a Windows 64-bit machine in its
simplest form, insert the SAS Setup CD. Once the installation starts
click on "Install SAS Software" under the End User Steps. For more
details reference the following documentation:
http://support.sas.com/documentation/installcenter/the_sas_system/9.1.3_TS1M3/win/w64/user.pdf
For Administrators, you will create an image to install from. There are
two methods to create images, depending on whether you are providing
personal or client installations.
Method 1
To create a network image that Personal users can install from,
copy the contents of each CD listed below to the same directory on
the network. For example, if you want to create an installable SAS
image on F:\SAS9.1.3\install\sas and your CD drive is D:, execute
the following xcopy command for the following SAS System CDs:
- SAS Setup CD
- Software Disk 1
- Software Disk 2
- Software Disk 3
- SAS Shared Components
xcopy /s D:\*.* F:\SAS9.1.3\install\sas
Note: If you have the SAS/SECURE CD, copy ONLY the securwin1.cab
file to your installable image:
Xcopy /s D:\secure1.cab F:\SAS9.1.3\sas
Note: If other files are copied from this CD, the AutoPlay will not
function properly.

Method 2
To provide a SAS installation that can be run by client users, SAS
for 64-bit Windows can be installed to a 64-bit Windows system
with Terminal Services. Use an administrator log-on when
installing to a Windows system with Terminal Services. For more
details, reference the following documentation:
