Usage Note 18905: How to automatically save SAS® log files when using SAS® Enterprise Guide®
There is a new logging feature in SAS Enterprise Guide 4.1, but it is
not automatic. The following steps can be used to direct a copy of every
SAS log generated in SAS Enterprise Guide to a separate file location on
the SAS® Workspace Server. These files are in addition to the SAS log
generated in the project.
- From SAS® Management Console 9.1, access Properties on the SAS Workspace Server used by SAS Enterprise Guide.
- Select the Options tab.
- For Command:, add code similar to the following that points to a folder that all users have write access. For example:
-log "c:\SAS\BiClients\Lev1\SASMain\Logs\c#d#b#y#v.log"
-echoauto -pagesize max
-logparm "rollover=session open=replaceold write=immediate"For Object Server Parameters, add:
- When no one is accessing the SAS® Metadata Server,
Stop and Start the SAS Object Spawner.
