Usage Note 16711: Could not login to Enterprise Miner.
When attempting to login to Enterprise Miner 5.2 you may receive
the error:
Could not login to Enterprise Miner. Contact your administrator for the
correct user name and password.
Click on details and scroll down to look for the following message:
User xxxx is not connected to the correct profile repository
(omi://servername:port) for application global.
The presence of that message indicates a mismatch between the metadata
server host value specified in the Analytics Platform Foundation
Services global profile entry and the value currently set in the
Analytics Platform configuration.
To correct this problem, complete the steps below:
1) Open the SAS Management Console
2) Click to expand 'Foundation Services Manager'.
3) Click to expand 'Analytics Platform - Foundation Services'.
4) Click to expand 'Core Services'.
5) Right click 'User Services' and select Properties.
6) Select the 'Service Configuration' tab and click
'Edit Configuration'.
7) Select the 'Profiles' tab.
8) Select the 'global' profile and click 'Edit'.
9) Change the machine name in the "Domain URL" field
so that the host name matches the host name used in your
SAS Analytics Platform configuration. For example, change:
omi://<localhost:8561> to
omi://<myhost.mydomain.com:8561>
10) Click OK all the way out.
The machine name in the global profile must match the machine on which
the metadata server is running as specified in the Analytics Platform
(AP) Advanced Configuration. The value for the global profile entry is
set initially the first time you log into Enterprise Miner based on
information from the AP Advanced configuration. If the Analytics
Platform Advanced configuration is rerun and the metadata server host
value is changed, the mismatch occurs and the problem must be corrected
via the manual steps.
Once the change is made you must stop and restart the Analytics Platform
Server.
