Usage Note 1569: Phase 3 kernel initialization error when starting SAS
A "Phase 3 kernel initialization error" may occur when invoking the
SAS System after applying a setinit. If the setinit has an osname of
win_ntsv and has been applied to a non-Windows NT Server operating
system , the error will occur. The correct osname for those Windows
operating systems is win or win_nte.
This error also will occur if the core.sas7bcat catalog is corrupt.
Rename the current core.sas7bcat (under sas\core\sashelp) and copy the
core.sas7bcat found on the SAS System CD. Remove the read-only attribute
from the copied catalog and rerun the setinit.
