Rudolf J. Freund, PhD, was an associate director and cofounder of the Department of Statistics at Texas A&M University. Dr. Freund received an MA degree in economics from the University of Chicago in 1951 and a PhD in statistics from the North Carolina State College (now North Carolina state University) in 1955. He coauthored several books including SAS System for Regression, Third Edition; Regression Methods; and Statistical Methods and Regression Analysis.
