This course introduces SAS administrators to SAS Environment Manager 2.5. In this release of SAS Environment Manager, SAS administrators can perform administrative tasks as well as monitor their SAS environment. The course provides an overview of the service architecture and shows how to perform essential SAS administration functions using SAS Environment Manager.
Note: The material in this course is included in SAS Platform Administration classes starting in March 2016. If you attended the SAS Platform Administration: Fast Track course or the combination of SAS Platform Administration: System Administration and SAS Platform Administration: Metadata Administration courses, this material will be a repeat.

This course does not cover the basics of system administration or metadata administration as they relate to the role of a SAS administrator. The course covers how to use the SAS Environment Manager to perform tasks that you are now doing in SAS Management Console.
