This course teaches you how to extend the functionality of SAS Enterprise Miner in SAS 9.

• Develop custom nodes that incorporate other SAS procedures.
• Customize exploratory methods and use the results to modify metadata.
• Construct a model node that derives model coefficients using training data; constructs score code; and scores validation, test, and score data using score code.
• Create assessment data for predictive models.

Before attending this course, you should have:

• Experience using SAS Enterprise Miner. You can gain this knowledge from the Applied Analytics Using SAS Enterprise Miner course.
• SAS programming skills at the intermediate or advanced level. You can acquire these skills from the SAS Programming 2: Data Manipulation Techniques course.
• Knowledge of SAS macro programming. You can gain this knowledge from the SAS Macro Language 1: Essentials course.

Knowledge of XML and JAVA is a plus but is not essential.

This course addresses SAS Enterprise Miner software.
