JMP Learning Subscription
The JMP Learning Subscription provides unlimited access to all JMP e-Learning in a monthly or annual subscription. Learn how to:
  • use JMP for data analysis and visualization, including bringing data in from various sources, manipulating data, and creating new variables, as well as creating and sharing JMP reports with other people
  • use statistical analysis to make decisions through the use of hypothesis testing, t tests, analysis of variance, regression analysis, and analysis of covariance
  • properly design and analyze an experiment through either classical methods or by using custom design in JMP. Use the designed experiment to identify important factors, predict responses, incorporate hard-to-change factors, evaluate and compare different designs, and optimize processes.

The curriculum includes the following courses:

Applied Statistics for Engineers Business Knowledge Series
This course begins by familiarizing attendees with JMP, JMP data tables, analyses and various utilities. Using JMP as a platform, the course continues with how to apply engineering and scientific approaches to problem solving, improvement initiatives and design questions by focusing on descriptive statistics, graphical analysis, hypothesis testing, analysis of variance, and model building. The course combines the use of JMP software with basic, intermediate, and advanced analytical methods. Interactive illustrations enable course attendees to understand statistical concepts by engaging and experimenting with them. To help guide them, attendees are also provided a set of flowcharts that integrates JMP tools into a process that shows them where they are, where they are going, and when they have fully completed the analysis. This course provides specific advice on how to exploit these methods in the real world. Engineers, scientists, and other analysts attending the course will come out prepared to take on problems and reveal exploitable insights.

JMP Software: Reliability Analysis for Non-Repairable Systems
This course is for anyone who needs to analyze data about how long an object (reliability) or person (survival) operates within acceptable parameters ('time to event'). The course is presented using manufacturing examples, but those interested in survival analysis or studying recidivism will also find the course useful.

JMP Software: The Analysis and Modeling of Multidimensional Data
Please note: this course will take place in hotel Hilton in Amsterdam.

This course is for JMP users who deal with data with many variables. The course demonstrates various ways to examine high dimensional data in fewer dimensions, as well as patterns that exist in the data. Methods for unsupervised learning are presented, in which relationships between the observations, as well as relationships between the variables are uncovered. The course also demonstrates various ways of performing supervised learning where the relationships among both the output variables and the input variables are considered. Strong emphasis is on understanding the results of the analysis and presenting your conclusions with graphs.

JMP Pro Software: Exploring and Analyzing Patterns in Text Data
This course teaches you how to find and analyze patterns in textual data using Text Explorer in JMP Pro. A workflow is defined for effective and efficient exploration. Multivariate methods are applied to the frequency of terms after weighting and dimension reduction to capture relationships among important terms and phrases.

JMP Software: Designing and Building a Complete JMP Script
This course will teach you how to approach writing a new script in a methodical way. A realistic case study will be used to illustrate the typical steps. A separate case study is developed in the course exercises. A storyboard showing the results from the script, the JMP objects that will be used by the script, and the steps necessary for the script to carry out is developed at the beginning of the course, and is further developed throughout the course. The results are used to determine the necessary data, so the next step is identifying the analysis variables and their original data stores. Techniques to import or query for data, cleanse and harmonize data, and derive new variables complete the first half of the course. The second half of the course teaches how to script the conversion of the variables into results. JMP objects are used to create a working framework. Each object is then customized or extended as necessary. Optional results or computations are captured in a user dialog to finish the script.
