SAS Studio Repository Toolkit Appliance

An appliance to aid in the development of SAS Studio repositories.

SAS Studio has the ability to support repositories which enable a user or administrator to easily share tasks and snippets. Repositories need to be hosted like web pages (an HTTP publish location) which is a skill many SAS programmers don’t have. We’ve created a Repository Toolkit Appliance to provide an easy way for anyone to develop a repository. You don't need to understand all the details of web hosting, FTP, or how to publish the repository. The SAS programmer downloads the appliance and uses it to develop their repository. After the repository has been created and tested, the programmer gives finished files to their web group for publishing on the web. The appliance is solely a development tool for the SAS programmer.

The appliance is a vApp that contains an Apache Web Server deployment, several example repositories, and an FTP server deployed to the example repositories. Virtualization software such as Oracle Virtual Box is needed to run the appliance. For full configuration and usage information, see SAS Studio 3.6: Developer’s Guide to Repositories. If you would prefer to just access the sample repositories without getting the appliance, you can download the ZIP file. There is no need to download both.
