Extended Names |
When the
enxref
compiler option
is specified, the compiler creates two extended name cross-references. Both
of these cross-references are in two-column format. The first cross-reference
is sorted according to extended name, or C identifier. The second cross-reference
is sorted according to external symbol, or Link ID. Both cross-references
include only the extended names of objects that were defined in the compilation;
a
__rent
external variable is considered to be defined even if its only
usage in the compilation is as a reference. Both of these cross-references
are of limited value because the COOL utility can assign different external
symbols to extended names during object code processing. The cross-references
produced by COOL are more meaningful.
