Java Access Bridge

In order for assistive technologies that run in Windows to interoperate with a SAS application that is based on Java technology, the Java Access Bridge from Oracle must be installed and configured in the application’s installation directory. For information about downloading and installing this software, go to http://www.sas.com/industry/government/java.html.

User Interface Layout

The SAS ODS Graphics Designer window contains the following sections:
  • The top of the window contains the application name, the menu bar, and application toolbar buttons.
  • The Elements pane on the left side of the window contains plots, lines, and insets that you can insert into a graph. To insert an element, click and drag the element to the graph. The elements on this pane are available only when a graph is open.
  • The right side of the window (the work area) displays the graphs that you create and design in the designer. In addition to the graphs, you can display the Graph Gallery, a collection of predefined graphs.

Exceptions to Accessibility Standards

Some exceptions to accessibility standards are documented in the following table.
Note: The JAWS issues occur when JAWS is used with Internet Explorer. Other browsers were not tested with JAWS, unless noted.
