Note: Prior to the 13.1 release of SAS/IML, there were some IML language features that were unique to IMLPlus. These features included:

• The use of matrix expressions with the following statements: CLOSE, CREATE, EDIT, SETIN, SETOUT, SORT, USE.
• The use of an expression with the RETURN statement without requiring parentheses around the expression.

Because these features are now supported by PROC IML they are no longer listed in this section, which describes features that are unique to IMLPlus.
