Release Notes
- This release of IML Studio requires SAS 9.4 (TS1M3) or a later release.
- For a list of the changes that have been made to IML Studio for this release, please read Changes in Version
14.2.
- IML Studio includes documentation for the 9.4 (TS1M3) release of the Base SAS product and for the 14.1 release of the SAS/IML and SAS/STAT products. See
http://support.sas.com/documentation/ for current versions of SAS documentation.
- If you need to open a data set containing Chinese, Japanese, or Korean characters, it is important that the "Region and Language" settings in Windows Control Panel be configured
for the appropriate country. It is not necessary to change the Windows setting called "Language for non-Unicode programs", which is also referred to as the system locale.
- The IML Studio user interface is available in the following languages: English, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese. If you are using IML Studio in a country that speaks Japanese,
Korean, or Simplified Chinese, you can instruct IML Studio to operate in English rather than in your country's native language. To learn about the option IMLStudio_ForceEnglishUI,
please refer to the topic Environment Variables.
- To import Microsoft Excel worksheets, IML Studio uses Microsoft Access Database Engine. The 32-bit edition of IML Studio requires the 32-bit edition of Access Database Engine. Likewise,
the 64-bit edition of IML Studio requires the 64-bit edition of Access Database Engine. Microsoft does not allow both the 32-bit and the 64-bit editions of Access Database Engine to be installed
at the same time. If your Windows system does not have the appropriate edition of Access Database Engine installed, you will be unable to import Microsoft Excel worksheets using the Open
File dialog box or the method DataObject.CreateFromExcelFile. In this situation, you
should use PROC IMPORT with "SAS/ACCESS to PC Files" to import the Microsoft Excel worksheet.
