Preparing to Use Batch Mode
To run IML Studio in batch mode, you run IML Studio's batch driver program called IMLPlus.exe. IMLPlus.exe is a Windows command-line program that must be run from a Windows Command Prompt.
The IMLPlus.exe file is stored in the IML Studio System directory, which is usually in the following location:
C:\Program Files\SASHome\SASIMLStudio\14.2\System |
To run IMLPlus.exe, the Windows Command Prompt must be able to locate the file. The Windows Command Prompt locates program files by searching the directories listed in the PATH environment
variable. Because IML Studio's Setup program does not append the IML Studio System directory to the PATH environment variable, you must take steps to enable the Windows Command Prompt to locate
the IMLPlus.exe file. You have the following options:
- Add the IML Studio System directory to the PATH environment variable. This is the preferred option. Because the mechanism for modifying the PATH environment variable varies with different
versions of Windows, you will need to refer to the Windows documentation for assistance in modifying the PATH if you do not already know how to do it.
- If you have a directory in which you place miscellaneous command-line programs, copy the IMLPlus.exe file to that directory. The directory must be listed in the PATH environment variable.
- If you have the access rights to do so, copy the IMLPlus.exe file to the Windows directory. Usually the Windows directory is C:\Windows or C:\WINNT. This directory should always be listed
in the PATH environment variable.
- Copy the IMLPlus.exe file to the directory from which you intend to run it. The Windows Command Prompt always searches the current directory when searching for program files.
