The Query Builder opens with the active data listed in the tables pane.
You can add tables to the query by clicking Add Tables.
You can view and edit the join by clicking Join Tables.
By default, no columns are included in the query. To add columns, you can select the column and drag it to the Select Data tab, or you can double-click the column name in the list.
You can add existing and computed columns to the query, view and change the properties for columns, delete columns, and reorder columns by using the buttons on the Select Data tab.
To define and set a filter, drag the column that you want to filter to the Filter Data tab.
To sort your data by the values in one or more columns, add the column to the Sort Data tab. You can select whether you want to sort by ascending or descending order. The sort order is defined by the order in which the columns are listed on the Sort Data tab.
You can use the query buttons to create computed columns, define prompts, preview the code or output, validate query code or replace a column, and set query options.
When you are finished with your query, click Run. The results appear and an item for the query is added to your project. You can access the input data and all of the output for the query by clicking the tabs in the workspace. You can reopen the query by right-clicking it in the project tree and selecting Modify query-name.
