Troubleshooting
This Help file contains information about troubleshooting in the Address Verification (US/Canada) node.
Performance seems slow when I am running a job including the Address Verification node.
Here are a few things you can do to try to increase Address Verification performance:
- Make sure you have the primary key correctly defined and indexed in the data source
- Cache a large amount of USPS data by changing the USPS Cache setting. Click Tools > Options. Select the Step Specific tab. Under the Address Verification section, change the Percentage of cached USPS data indexes setting.
- Output to a delimited text file instead of updating the source.
- If you are using SAS Data Management Studio to run the job, you can modify the commit level to every 5000 rows.
- Load the entire USPS data (required more RAM on your machine).
Error Messages
The following errors appear when you select an unlicensed component for address verification:
Error Message | Description |
---|---|
11 | DPV product is locked. |
12 | RDI product is locked. |
13 | LACSLink product is locked. |
In the Address Verification node, the following error message appears when DPV and LACS is disabled and you select Generate PS Form 3553:
To generate Form 3553, you must have DPV and LACS processing enabled. DPV and LACS processing can be enabled for this node using the options on this dialog, or globally via the SAS Data Management Studio Options menu item. Continue anyway?
Beginning in Summer 2007, the USPS requires DPV and LACS processing for all CASS certification processes. To enable DPV and LACS from the main menu, click Tools > Options and select Step Specific. Select Enable DPV and Enable LACS.
