DataFlux Data Management Studio 2.7: User Guide
You can use the Custom Connection dialog to add a user-defined connection to an SAP system. This connection could be used as the data source for the SAP Remote Function Call node, a data job node. SAP libraries (DLLs) must be installed on all computers where this custom connection is used. For more information about the SAP DLLs and the supported versions of SAP, see Other Data Sources. See also Error: "Unable to load extension: (tkesapf)" when connecting to an SAP System.
If you do not have SAS Federation Server installed, you must perform some additional steps to establish a custom SAS connection. These steps are covered in the SASĀ® Federation Server 4.2: Administrator's Guide. The relevant sections are Installing and Configuring the SAS Federation Server Driver for SAP and Installing SAS Components. These sections can be found in the SAS Federation Server Driver for SAP topic of the Driver Reference for SAS Federation Server chapter.
Perform the following steps to add a user-defined connection to an SAP system:
ashost=HOST_NAME;catalog=SAP;client=800;DFXTYPE=TKTS;DRIVER=SAP;DSN=SAP Custom;pwd=SAP_PASSWORD;sysnr=SYSTEM_NUMBER;uid=SAP_USERID
Administrators can specify where custom connections are stored. For more information, see the User saved connection setting in the "Data Access Component Directives" topic in the DataFlux Data Management Studio Installation and Configuration Guide.
