Overview of the Administration Riser Bar
Administrators can use the Administration riser bar to maintain macro variables, Quality Knowledge Bases, Reference Sources, and SAS repositories.
The navigation tree on the left enables you to select various kinds of items. The information pane on the right displays information about the selected item. Most items in this tree have special controls on the left and right that enable you to perform tasks with that kind of item.
The navigation tree contains the following folders:
- Macro Files - Enables you to add or edit macro variables in the default macro.cfg file or in other files in the custom macro folder (such as C:\Program Files\SASHome\SASDataManagementStudio\version number\etc\macros). You cannot add new files in this interface, but you can maintain macro variables in existing files. You can add new macros, edit an existing macro, reset a macro, and remove a macro in a file. The file path associated with each selected macro variable is displayed at the bottom of the information panel on the right. For more information, see Using Macro Variables.
- Quality Knowledge Bases - Enables you to manage Quality Knowledge Bases (QKBs). A QKB is a collection of files that store data and logic that define data management operations. SAS software products reference a QKB when performing data management operations on your data. You can add new QKBs, select an active QKB, and edit the contents of a QKB. For more information, see Managing Quality Knowledge Bases.
- Repository Definitions - This is the main administrative interface for DataFlux Data Management Platform repositories. You can see a list of repository definitions in the Administration Pane. There, you can add, edit, connect, disconnect, and remove repository definitions. For information about how to use and maintain repositories, see Maintaining Repository Definitions.
