DataFlux Data Management Studio 2.7: User Guide
You can add a Gender Analysis (Parsed) node to a data job to perform gender analysis on data that has already been parsed into given and last name fields. The gender analysis determines a gender value from a list of names. Once you have added the node, you can double-click it to open its properties dialog. The properties dialog includes the following elements:
Name - Specifies a name for the node.
Notes - Enables you to open the Notes dialog. You use the dialog to enter optional details or any other relevant information for the input.
Output Field - Specifies the name of the field in which the gender data will be placed.
Locale - Specifies the locale within your Quality Knowledge Base (QKB) to use to determine gender.
Definition - Specifies the definition used in the parsing process (Gender in this case).
Tokens - Enables you to specify the data types (tokens) for analyzing name data in the existing QKB. Click in the Field Name fields to select the field used to look for values.
Additional Outputs - Displays the Additional Outputs dialog. This dialog enables you to specify the fields that you can make available to the next node in your data job.
Preserve null values - When selected, specifies that null values in the data source are preserved.
You can access the following advanced properties by right-clicking the Gender Analysis (Parsed) node:
