Log On to DataFlux Data Management Studio

You can log on to the SAS Metadata Server to use DataFlux Data Management Studio with the DataFlux Data Management Server. You can access any DataFlux Data Management Server that is associated with that SAS Metadata Server. See the documentation page for DataFlux Data Management Server for more information.

You can also continue to access the DataFlux Sample repository and the other repositories that you have created without logging on to the SAS Metadata Server. Perform the following tasks:

Once you log on to the SAS Metadata Server, you can access any SAS Federation Server that is associated with that SAS Metadata Server. See the documentation page for SAS Federation Server for more information about SAS Federation Server.

Enable SAS Metadata Server Log On

You must specify a host location and a port for the SAS Metadata Server in the Metadata Server section of the global Data Management Studio Options dialog. You can access this section by clicking the Data Management Studio Options item in the Tools menu and clicking Metadata Server in the list on the left side. Enter appropriate values in the Host and Port fields.

NoteNote: If needed, you can use the options provided in the Metadata Server options to use integrated Windows authentication and automatically log on at startup.

Log On to SAS Metadata Server

Once you have enabled the SAS Metadata Server settings, you can log on the SAS Metadata Server whenever you need to. Perform the following steps:

  1. Open the Tools menu in SAS Data Management Studio.
  2. Click Log On to Metadata Server to access the Log On dialog.
  3. Enter your user ID in the User ID field.
  4. Enter your password in the Password field.

User credentials for the SAS Metadata Server are entered by system administrators in the SAS Management Console. If these user credentials need to be changed, the changes also must be made by system administrators in the SAS Management Console.
