QKB Difference Viewer Usage Notes

Viewing QKB Differences Can Take a Significant Amount of Time

Viewing QKB differences can take a significant amount of time, from several minutes to several hours. Many factors can cause the viewer to take a significant amount of time. Some of these include machine speed, programs and services running, amount of memory available, and where the QKB is located. When the difference calculations run, a dialog displays an indicator that shows which file the Diff Viewer is viewing. When the calculation is complete, you will see "Completed" at the bottom of the dialog.

Impact of Gender Analysis Enhancements

The Gender Analysis definition was enhanced in DataFlux Data Management Studio 2.6 to allow for different chop tables, regex libraries, and vocabularies to be used within the token groups. Because of this enhancement, when comparing a Gender Analysis definition created or modifed in a version prior to 2.6 to a Gender Analysis definition that was modified in 2.6 or later, the QKB Difference Viewer will show that the chop tables, regex libraries, and vocabularies have been removed from the definition and added to each token.
