DataFlux Data Management Studio 2.6: User Guide
You can use the Summary tab to review general information about a selected table or master data project in the Data tree. The tab is particularly useful when you want an overview of how the table or project is identified, what it contains, and how it is used. The tab includes the following elements:
Identification - Displays the name and type of the selected table.
Details - When displayed, shows the field and row counts for the selected table
Project Status - When displayed, shows status information about a master data project and the last table load into the project. The Status field is dynamically updated during table loads.
Last Load Status - When displayed, shows status information about the last table load into the project. The Status field is dynamically updated during table loads.
Lineage - Displays a menu path and a graphic representation of how the table is used. This section is highly interactive. Initially, the path to the table is displayed at the top of the Lineage section and the objects that consume the table's data are displayed below it. If you click one of the objects, the path and the graphic change to reflect the relationship between the table and the selected object.
Note: Different tables can have the same name. If you see multiple instances of a table name in the lineage diagram you can put your cursor over the tables to display their full data paths. For more information about lineages, see Updating Lineages.
